Recent updates have brought us many enhancements to CentreStack, including better access to file sharing for our Microsoft Outlook users.
As a Cluster Manager you can enable the Outlook Add-In, which is located in the Default Group Policy > Client Control > Native Client area of your management console.
This video shows you how to make use of this excellent addition to your Windows Client Workflow.
I cover three use-cases: AddFiles, AddFolder and RequestFile.
As you can see the Outlook Addin creates an easy and useful way for you to take advantage of CentreStack’s features from within an email. It handles all the difficult tasks of creating a shared space for you to interact with others using email to give them access to files and folders in your server.
In this tutorial I cover how to migrate a share from Windows Server 2016 Files and Users to a Windows Server 2012 r2 with CentreStack.
To do this I create a new tenant in CentreStack and then jump over to the Server 2016 where I log-in to CentreStack as the tenant and download Windows Server Agent. With that client installed I instantly see any shares available on the Windows File system and can easily migrate those shares to the cloud.
