Reports Options - Monitoring Cluster Activity
We are providing you with some very useful reporting options in the dashboard of the cluster manager web portal. When you are logged in as a manager (in this case, Cluster Manager), you will see the Upload Report on the main dashboard screen. If you need more information, you can click the Reports shortcut on the right side of the dashboard view.
This opens the Reports section, where you can choose from several Report Options: Upload Report, Storage Statistics, Active Users, Guest Users, Node Performance, Bandwidth Usage, Server Agents, System Diagnostic Report and Audit Trace.
The Upload Report gives you information in graph form about file uploads.
The Storage Statistics Report gives you detailed information about how your storage is being used; file types, file and folder size, tenant storage use breakdown, how much storage your users are consuming, file type distribution, and file size distribution.
The Active Users Report shows you which users are currently using the system.
The Guest Users Report shows you what shares are currently active and what users are associated with those shares. You can use this report to edit share users' passwords and modify a few other settings for shares. You can also delete a share that you want to end which removes that users’ access to the share.
The Node Performance Report gives you information about the Database and Node Activities. The Database information provided includes: Total Configuration Records, Total File Change Records, Total File Index Records and Total Audit Trace Records.
Also, under Node Performance, there is a Purge Button. Clicking this option allows you to remove records from the database. Settings for this include option include: File Change Log (how far back to purge file changes), Audit Trace (how far back to purge audit trace info.), File Index (how far back to purge files).
The Bandwidth Usage Report shows you graphs that monitor Bandwidth Usage. Settings include: Last 1 hour, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days and Last 30 days.
The Server Agents Report shows you any Server Agent Clients attached from file servers. Information provided includes Device Name, Device User and if the device is Synced. You can access the Task Manager for the device and Wipe the Device from here as well.
The System Diagnostic Report lets you run a diagnostic scan. Information provided includes the status of: Database, Licensing, Server (Worker Node) Build, Application Pool (namespace), Application Pool (storage), Worker Node (deviceName), Email Service, Server Agent Status, Device Sync Status and tenant_storage.
The Audit Trace Report is where most of your analysis will take place. This section allows you to show information by several categories: User Email, User Name, Trace Contents and Action. Then secondarily you can search by time range: Last 5 Days, Last 10 Days, Last 30 Days, Last 3 Months, Last 6 Months, Last 1 Year, Last 2 Years, All Records.
Additionally in the Audit Trace section, if you are searching for actions in the Action category, you can refine this with the following subcategories: Publish Team Folder, Edit Team Folder, Add Guest User, Send Share Email, Stop Sharing, Start Sharing, Purge Expired Shares, Add User, Add Group, Edit Group, Delete Group, Edit Delegate Admin List, Unpublish Team Folder, Delete User, Purge User Storage, Delete Guest User, Create Version Folder, Attach Cloud Storage, Attach Local Storage, Enable Public Link, Disable Public Link, Failed Login, Success Login, Client Failed login, Client Success Login, Add User/Group to user white list, Delete User/Group from user white list, Add User/Group to cached disabled user list, Delete User/Group from disabled user list, Change Active Directory Setting, Download Shared File, User AD info changed, and Device Disabled.
